The Dordogne - Day 2

The second day of our holiday was rainy and cool so Barnaby and I opted to stay in the lovely cosy cottage while Mummy and Auntie visited Limeuil and Cadouin.

They had lunch at a family-run restaurant opposite the Abbey in Cadouin, finishing with a Cafe Gourmand (literally Coffee Greedy!) which they shared.  It was a coffee and three desserts: a tirimasu (which is actually Italian not French), vanilla ice cream and a moelleux aux chocolat (a bit like a French chocolate brownie).

Barnaby and I were disappointed they didn't bring any home for us to try.

We did have some lovely local chocolate later though and watched Paddington on DVD so that was all right.
